|Green chilli; chopped
|Kidney beans; pre-soaked in water
|; for 30 minutes)
|Ghee or white butter
|Red onion; chopped
|Fresh coriander; chopped
Place the lentils in a pan of hot water with half the ginger and chilli and simmer for 25 minutes.
Add the kidney beans, butter and salt to the lentils.
Put the red onion in a pan of hot oil with the other half of the ginger and the chilli and fry for 5 minutes.
Add the garam masala and turmeric to the onion, stir well and mix into the lentils.
Add the cream and coriander and serve.
