Measure Ingredient
200 grams Split lentils
2 teaspoons Fresh ginger
2 teaspoons Green chilli; chopped
2 teaspoons Turmeric
100 grams Kidney beans; pre-soaked in water

1 tablespoon Ghee or white butter
1 teaspoon Salt
1 large Red onion; chopped
½ teaspoon Garam masala
1 tablespoon Fresh coriander; chopped
4 tablespoons Cream

Place the lentils in a pan of hot water with half the ginger and chilli and simmer for 25 minutes.

Add the kidney beans, butter and salt to the lentils.

Put the red onion in a pan of hot oil with the other half of the ginger and the chilli and fry for 5 minutes.

Add the garam masala and turmeric to the onion, stir well and mix into the lentils.

Add the cream and coriander and serve.
