Curried bean and barley soup

Ingredients

| 1 | pack | (12 oz) great northern beans, picked, washed, and soaked |
| 2 | larges | Onions; chopped |
| 1 | Cloves garlic; chopped fine (up to 2) | |
| 1 | can | (4 oz) green chilies; chopped |
| 1 | cup | Barley |
| 1 | teaspoon | Curry powder (up to 2) |
| Salt to taste | ||
Directions
Cook beans in a dutch oven for 2-3 hours, until almost mush. Add remaining ingredients.
Cook for 45-50 minutes, until the barley is cooked.
I served this with fresh baked bread. The whole family loved it, even my picky 14 year old. I'm really glad I was too lazy to stir out of the house this morning.
