Crab with curried almond rice

2 | mediums | Tomatoes, peeled and chopd |
1 | Clove garlic, chopped | |
4 | drops | Tabasco sauce, (or more to taste) |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
½ | teaspoon | Paprika |
6 | tablespoons | Flour |
3 | cups | Milk |
2 | cans | Or frozen pkgs. crab meat or imitation crab |
1 | cup | Blanched almonds |
1 | teaspoon | Curry powder |
3 | cups | Hot cooked rice |
Directions
Melt 6 T. margarine in saucepan. Add tomatoes, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add flour and stir until well blended. Add milk and simmer until thick, stirring constantly. Add crabmeat. Simmer for 10 mins. Meanwhile melt 2 T. butter in another saucepan. Add almonds and curry powder. Saute. Stir and toss with rice.
