apple roll

6 Servings
3 cups Flour
6 teaspoons Baking powder
6 tablespoons Shortening (lard)
  Milk, enough to form biscuit batter,
  Roll thin, cover with sliced tart
  Apples, roll lke jelly roll and slice
  Into a tin (good sized baking dish) put:
2 cups Maple syrup
2 cups Hot water
1 tablespoon Butter

Make rich baking powder biscuits using: Bring this to a boil in hot (400) oven. Put slices in this. Bake until brown and serve in cereal dishes with its own sauce poured over it. M.T. Perrin
