2 tablespoons | Ammonia |
½ cup | Warm water |

4 \N | Parts rye flour |

1 tablespoon | Salt |
1 tablespoon | Kerosene |
2 tablespoons | Vinegar |
2 tablespoons | Ammonia |
½ cup | Warm water |
½ cup | Flour |
Mix above and boil til flour is thoroughly scalded stirring constantly. Then knead w/ hands and it is ready for use. Use as if it were an eraser. CLEANER #2 Add enough water to the rye flour and ammoniac that it will form a dough, then use on soiled parts as if the mixture was a sponge. Turn soiled part of dough into itself and work out a clean part of the mixture. Never continue to rub the soiled surface of the cleaner into the wall. CLEANER #3 Cook while stirring. Knead into a smooth dough. Use pieces as though it were an eraser to clean wallpaper. SOURCE:Handwritten notes glued into the Presidential Cookbook of 1909.
