Udang kari (indonesian prawn curry)

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 tablespoon Oil
1 medium Onion, finely chopped
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon Turmeric
½ teaspoon Lemon grass
1 teaspoon Sambal oelek
Sliver of shrimp paste
(belacan)
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Coconut milk
450 grams Shelled frozen prawns

Heat oil and lightly saute onion and garlic. Add garlic, turmeric, cummin and lemon grass. Stir and add sambal oelek, shrimp paste and salt. Stir again.

Add coconut milk and bring to a boil. Lower heat and add prawns.

Simmer uncovered for 15-20 mins.

Serve with rice.
