Simple pickles

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 -(up to)
5 pounds Cucumbers
3¾ cup Vinegar
3 cups Sugar
3 tablespoons Pickling salt
4½ teaspoon Celery seed
4½ teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon Dry mustard

Wash cucumbers & cut in strips or slices. Pour boiling water over cucumbers & let stand overnight. The next day, drain off water & rinse & pack cucumbers in clean jars. In a large pan, combine remaining ingredients.

Bring to a boil & cook 5 minutes. Pour over cucumbers in jars & seal.

(Simple, tasty & crisp.)
