Mother's brownies

Measure Ingredient
1 Egg
¼ cup Butter - melted
1 cup White sugar
OR
1½ cup Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Water
3 tablespoons Cocoa
¾ cup Flour
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking powder
Nuts

Beat eggs slightly. Stir in butter. Then stir in sugar and add the water. Beat ½ minute and add cocoa. Mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, and nuts. Add to the first mixture. Bake in a slow oven until done.
