Microwave pilaf

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
Diced onion
Diced greenpepper
Diced mushrooms
1 tablespoon Oil; up to 2
Pepper
Herbs of your choice- plenty
1 cup Rice
2 cups Boiling water
Salt or parev chicken soup powder

In a microwave proof cassarole heat oil then soft saute the vegetables for 5 mins. Add rice, boiling water, herbs and pepper and soup powder. Cover tightly and cook on high for 18-20 minutes. You don't have to check, or stir during the cooking.

Bits of meat or fish could be added to make a one dish meal. This reheats easily
