Yield: 6 Servings
|½ cup||Chopped onion; or more|
|1 pounds||Ground beef|
|1 can||(6-oz) tomato paste|
|2 cans||(15-oz) kidney beans; drained|
|1 cup||Grated cheddar cheese; or more|
Saute onions & beef until browned. Stir in salt, pepper & tomato paste.
Spoon half this mixture into a 1-½ quart casserole. Top with half the kidney beans, then half the cheese. Repeat layers in same order with remaining meat, beans & cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until top browns. Yields 6-8 servings.
