Garam masala (bengali style)

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Cloves
1 Inch cinnamon stick
2 tablespoons Black cardamom seeds

Dry roast the spices separately in a skillet over moderate heat until aromatic. Grind to a fine powder in a spice grinder. Store in an airtight container for 1 to 2 months. Makes about 6 tbsp.
