|3 mediums||Acorn squash (1 lb ea)|
|1½ cup||Granny smith apples|
|16 ounces||Can whole-berry cranberry sauce|
Place squash in a 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake at 400øF for 45 minutes or until tender. Or pierce squash with a fork and arrange on paper towels in microwave oven. Microwave on high 9-10 minutes or until tender.
Melt butter in medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add apple; saut for 5 minutes. Stir in cranberry sauce; cook for 2 minutes or until apple is tender, stirring occasionally.
Cut squash in half lengthwise and discard seeds and membrane. Spoon ⅓ cup of fruit filling into each squash half.
