Cardamon roast

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
4 pounds Beef brisket or pot roast
¼ cup Shortening
3 cups Water
1 cup Vinegar
2 teaspoons Ground cardamon seed
½ tablespoon Brown sugar
1 Onion; chopped
1 Stalk celery; chopped
1 Bay leaf
¼ teaspoon Thyme

Combine all ingredients in roasting pan. Bake 4 to 6 hours at 275 degrees.
