Budget burger stew

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1½ pounds Lean ground beef
2 mediums Onions; coarsely chopped
1 can Whole Tomatoes; Including Liquid
1 can Tomato sauce; (8 Oz)
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Chili powder
1 tablespoon Snipped parsley
½ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
2 mediums Potatoes; Peeled, Diced Into 1" Cubes
2 mediums Carrots; Peeled & Sliced, 1/4 Inch Thick

Place ground beef in a 3 quart casserole. Microwave at high (100%) 6 to 8 minutes, stirring to break up beef after half the cooking time. Add onions, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, chili powder, parsley and Italian Seasoning, potatoes and carrots. Cover. Microwave at medium high (70%) until potatoes and carrots are tender, 30 minutes, stirring after half the cooking time. Makes 6 servings.
