Brenda langton's apple or pear sauce~

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
4 mediums Apples or pears -- peeled,
\N \N Cored and
\N \N Cut in 1-inch chunks (8
\N \N Cups)
½ cup Apple juice
2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice --
\N \N (optional)
1 tablespoon Honey
¼ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ cup White wine -- (optional)

1. Bring fruit and apple juice to a boil in a medium-size saucepan.

Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 20 to 25 minutes until fruit is very soft.

2. Add lemon juice, honey and cinnamon. Puree fruit mixture in a blender or food processor until smooth.

3. If using wine, return sauce to saucepan and add wine. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
