1. Bring fruit and apple juice to a boil in a medium-size saucepan.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 20 to 25 minutes until fruit is very soft.
2. Add lemon juice, honey and cinnamon. Puree fruit mixture in a blender or food processor until smooth.
3. If using wine, return sauce to saucepan and add wine. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
