Yield: 12 Servings
|2½ cup||Vanilla wafer cookies;*, crumbled|
|1 cup||Sifted powdered sugar|
|2 tablespoons||Unsweetened cocoa|
|¼ cup||Brandy or Kahlua|
|1 cup||Walnuts or pecans;, finely chopped|
|3 tablespoons||Light corn syrup|
Place cookie crumbs, sugar, cocoa, brandy or Kahlua, nuts and corn syrup in a mixing bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined. Shape by hand into round balls about 1 inch in diameter. Roll balls in powdered sugar to coat. Store in an airtight container for at least one day before serving to allow flavors to mingle. Makes about 3½ dozen.
NOTES : *This is equivalent to one 7 ¼ ounce box, or about 60 cookies.
