Bean dip with chorizo

Ingredients

| 1 | large | Onion,, chopped |
| ½ | pounds | Chorizo,, skin removed |
| 1 | can | (4 oz) chopped green chiles |
| 2 | cans | (16 oz) refried beans |
| 1 | cup | Shredded cheddar cheese |
| 1 | cup | Shredded monterey jack cheese |
| 1 | teaspoon | Chili powder,, or to taste |
Directions
Crumble chorizo in a large heavy skillet and cook just until the fat starts to gather in the pan. Add onion and cook until onion is transparent; drain.
Add remaining ingredients and cook until all is hot and the cheeses are melted. Serve hot with tortilla chips or corn chips.
