Bean dip with chorizo

Ingredients

1largeOnion,, chopped
½poundsChorizo,, skin removed
1can(4 oz) chopped green chiles
2cans(16 oz) refried beans
1cupShredded cheddar cheese
1cupShredded monterey jack cheese
1teaspoonChili powder,, or to taste

Directions

Crumble chorizo in a large heavy skillet and cook just until the fat starts to gather in the pan. Add onion and cook until onion is transparent; drain.

Add remaining ingredients and cook until all is hot and the cheeses are melted. Serve hot with tortilla chips or corn chips.
