1 cup | Daikon; coarsely shredded (white Oriental radish) |
2 mediums | Green onions; thinly sliced |
1 small | Red chili pepper; seeded, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons | Rice vinegar |
1½ teaspoon | Soy sauce |
1½ teaspoon | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | Canola oil |
½ teaspoon | Toasted sesame oil |
¼ teaspoon | Salt |
This relish has a real kick; serve it with Korean Barbecued Beef and other mild foods. Combine daikon, onion and chili in a bowl. In another bowl combine remaining ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Pour over daikon mixture. Cover and chill up to 24 hours. Makes 16 servings.
