thin white sauce

1 Servings
3 tablespoons Butter
¼ teaspoon Pepper
2 tablespoons Flour
2 cups Milk
1 teaspoon Salt

Melt butter over low heat; add flour, salt and pepper; stir until well blended. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk and return to heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. To shorten cooking time milk may be heated separately. Makes 2 cups.
