6 \N | Firm; ripe tomatoes, peeled & cored |
1 carton | (8-oz) small curd creamy cottage cheese |
2 tablespoons | Chopped green pepper |
\N \N | Salt & pepper to taste |
1 pint | Mayonnaise |
1 \N | Bottle (12-oz) chili sauce |
1 tablespoon | Lemon juice |
1 can | (6-oz) crab meat; drained, bones removed & flaked |
2 tablespoons | Finely chopped celery |
CRAB MEAT DRESSING
Peel tomatoes, core them & cut in eighths, almost to the bottom. Drain. Mix cottage cheese with chopped green pepper. Salt & pepper to taste. Stuff tomatoes with mixture & cover with crab meat dressing. Crab Meat Dressing: Mix ingredients together well & refrigerate. Spoon over stuffed tomatoes.
Good on lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Keeps well in refrigerator.
