|3 packs||(3-oz) orange gelatin|
|½ pint||Vanilla ice cream|
|¼ cup||Red cinnamon candies|
|1||Apple; peeled and cut in thin wedges|
|1¼ cup||Boiling water|
|½ cup||Cold water|
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Measure ½ cup gelatin mixture, add ½ cup cold water and chill until thickened. Blend ice cream and cinnamon into remaining gelatin and chill until slightly thickened. Melt candies in ½ cup water over low heat. Add apples. Simmer 8 minutes, turning several times. Drain. Cool. Arrange apples on ice cream-gelatin mixture. Top with remaining gelatin. Chill until firm.
