1 cup | (approx) milk or light cream |
2 tablespoons | Milk |
1 teaspoon | Cornmeal |
In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add 1 cup milk, stirring with fork to make soft, slightly stick dough. Form into ball; knead gently on lightly floured surface about 10 times.
Roll dough into circle about ½ thick. Cut with floured 2 inch cutter.
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Brush each biscuit lightly with 2 tbsp.
