Sourdough apricot bread

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Chopped dried apricots
¼ cup Boiling water
½ cup Granulated sugar
½ cup Brown sugar
3 tablespoons Oil
1 \N Egg, beaten
½ cup Sourdough starter
½ cup Milk
1½ cup All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Baking soda
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Chopped nuts

Soak apricots in boiling water until plump; drain. Combine sugars, oil, egg, sourdough starter and milk. Mix well. Add flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir in apricots and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 40 to 50 minutes or until done. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. Cool on a wire rack, wrap and store for several hours before slicing. Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves.
