Sour cream waffles

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups All-purpose flour
2½ teaspoon Baking powder
¾ teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Sugar; plus
1½ teaspoon Sugar
4 \N Eggs; separated
1 cup Sour cream
1½ cup Milk
¾ cup Sweet Butter; melted, plus
2 tablespoons Sweet Butter; melted =OR=- Oil instead of butter

SIFT TOGETHER ALL DRY INGREDIENTS. In a separate bowl, beat together the egg yolks, sour cream, milk and melted butter (or oil). Add to the dry mix. Mix together thoroughly. Beat egg whites until stiff, and fold in completely. Bake in preheated waffle iron.
