| Measure | Ingredient |

| 2 pounds | Ground beef |
| ¼ cup | Chopped onion |
| 1 teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ teaspoon | Pepper |
| ¼ teaspoon | Garlic salt |
| ½ cup | Fine cracker crumbs |
| 1 | Egg |
| ¼ cup | Milk |
| 2 tablespoons | Salad oil |
| 1 | Bottle (18-oz) smoky style barbecue sauce |
| 1 cup | Cold water |
Mix lightly all ingredients except oil, barbecue sauce & water. Shape into meatballs about the size of walnuts and brown on all sides in hot oil. Mix barbecue sauce & water, place meatballs into sauce & simmer for 15 minutes.
