|1||Whole chicken, skinned (unless you want all that fat), about seven pounds (or bigger or smaller depending on the size of your slow cooker, adjust other ingredients accordingly)|
|1 medium||Onion, chopped|
|7 ounces||Chopped canned mushrooms (fresh would be better)|
|1 teaspoon||Soy sauce|
|¼ cup||Red cooking wine|
|1 tablespoon||Garlic powder|
Put the whole works into a slow cooker, making sure to put some of the mushrooms and onions into the cavity of the bird. Cook for about 5 hours on medium heat.
