Simple squash toss

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 pounds (about 8) medium-sized yellow squash
2 ounces Jar diced pimiento; drained
2 tablespoons Water
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
¼ teaspoon Dried whole basil
¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
\N \N Salt & pepper to taste

Wash squash, and cut into ½-inch-thick slices; place in a 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with pimientos. Add water, and dot with butter; sprinkle with basil & garlic powder. Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH for 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes.

Let stand, covered, 10 minutes before serving.
