Shirred or baked eggs

Measure Ingredient
6 eaches Eggs
6 tablespoons Milk
1½ tablespoon Butter
⅔ cup Soft bread crumbs
\N \N Salt and pepper

Break eggs carefully. Slip each egg into a well-oiled muffin tin or ramekin which has been lined with soft crumbs. Add 1 tablespoon milk, seasonings, and bits of butter to each egg. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) until white is firm and yolk is coated with a thin, white film. 6 servings. The Household Searchlight
