|1 cup||Medium white sauce|
|Salt and pepper|
|1½ cup||Buttered bread or cracker crumbs|
|Butter or butter substitute|
Slice eggs thin. Fill individual, well-oiled baking dishes with alternate layers of sliced eggs, crumbs, and white sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dot each layer with butter. Cover with crumbs.
