2 tablespoons | Olive oil |
1 \N | Onion -- chopped |
4 \N | Cloves garlic -- minced |
1 teaspoon | Dried oregano |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
½ teaspoon | Ground cumin |
2 tablespoons | Water -- or more if needed |
Cut broccoli florets into bite-size pieces. Heat oil over medium-high heat, add onion and saute until transparent, 5 to 10 minutes. Add garlic to the skillet and stir over medium heat until softened, about 2 minutes. Add oregano, salt, cumin and broccoli pieces and stir constantly for about 2 minutes. Add water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until broccoli is bright green and tender.
