Sausage en croute - 2 variations

Measure Ingredient
8 \N Brown and Serve Sausage
\N \N Links -- thawed
1 \N Loaf
¼ \N Stick margarine -- - melted
2 tablespoons Yellow mustard

½ cup Butter
2 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Salt
2 \N Eggs
\N \N Water
\N \N Sandwich bread -- fresh

1. Roll bread flat with a rolling pin. Cut off crusts. 2. Brush with melted margarine abd mustard. (Add pepper and garlic powder to taste.) Place sausage on bread, roll and cut into 3 pieces. Secure with tooth pick. 3. Bake or broil till crust is crisp. OR OR OR OR OR 1. Precook sausages or use Brown and serve type. 2. Cut butter, flour and salt together. 3. Beat eggs and enough water til make ⅔ cup. 4. Add 6 Tbs. egg to the dry mix. Mix and form ball. 5. Roll flat. Cut into 5 by 1 inch strips. 6. Brush with mustard and margarine as above OR with leftoveregg mix. Roll ⅓ of a sausage up. Place seam side down on greased cookie sheet. Bake 425_ or broil till crisp.
