Measure | Ingredient |

16 ounces | Tomato sauce |
½ cup | Karo dark corn syrup |
1 cup | Cider vinegar |
1 cup | Sugar |
½ cup | Catsup |
2 teaspoons | Turmeric |
1 ounce | Liquid smoke flavoring |
2 teaspoons | Onion powder |
¼ cup | Molasses |
2 teaspoons | Black pepper; coarse ground |
1 teaspoon | Garlic powder |
½ teaspoon | Cayenne pepper |
2 teaspoons | Salt |
3 tablespoons | Cornstarch |
⅔ cup | Corn oil |
½ teaspoon | Paprika |

Cook all ingredients except sugar, molasses and Karo, for 15 minutes. Stir until hot and very well blended. Add in sugars and mix thoroughly. Do not attempt to cook sauce more until well blended. Adjust thickness with additional cornstarch to desired thickness.
**Either caramel coloring or natural portum may be used to deepen the color.
