From: erika metzieder <100627.3022@...> Date: Mon, 15 Jul 1996 18:58:02 EDT Recipe By: Craig Claiborne's Gourmet Diet Cut away and discard the core of the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into ¼-inch slices. Cut the slices into bite-sized pieces. Saute the onion and garlic in cooking spray until the onion is wilted. Add the cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the apple into quarters. Cut the quarters crosswise into very thin slices. There should be about 2 cups. Add the apple slices, vinegar, water, caraway and brown sugar to the cabbage. Stir.
Cover and cook for 1½ hours, or until the cabbage is quite tender.
