| 1 cup | Figs, dried; chopped |
| ¾ cup | Walnuts; chopped |
| 1 tablespoon | Orange peel; grated |
Mix and sift flour, salt, baking powder, and soda; stir in oats; set aside. Cream sugars with shortening and spices; beat in egg. Add flour mixture alternately with pumpkin. Stir in dried figs, walnuts and orange peel. Drop by Tablespoons on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 F degrees for about 15 minutes.
