|2 cups||Cake flour|
|2 teaspoons||Baking powder|
|Praline topping, Mix:|
|⅓ cup||Brown sugar|
|⅓ cup||Chopped nuts|
|3 tablespoons||Melted butter|
Stir shortening to soften. Sift dry ingredients over shortening. Add milk and mix until flour is dampened; then beat 2 minutes. Add egg and beat 1 minute longer. Turn into a 9 x 9 inch greased cake pan.
Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Spread at once with Praline Topping.
Bake 5 minutes longer. Cool and cut cake in pan.
