Measure | Ingredient |

2 pounds | Kale deveined and coarsely chopped |
½ pounds | Chourico {preferably Portuguse but can use Spanish} |
1 can | (14 oz) kidney beans |
¼ cup | Salt pork, diced |
1 cup | Potatoes, cubed |
1 medium | Onion, diced |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
½ teaspoon | Black pepper |
6 cups | Water |
Saute salt pork and onions.Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and simmer covered for 1 hour. Smash some of the potatoes to thicken soup
