3 cups	Water
4 tablespoons	Shortening
½ teaspoon	Salt
2 teaspoons	Baking soda
1 teaspoon	Allspice
1 teaspoon	Cinnamon
4 cups	Flour
1 cup	Chopped nuts

From: Maggie Workman <MWORKMAN@...> Date: Sat, 17 Jul 93 22:47:53 EST Here is a cake that my mom used to bake for us. It is Deeeelicious! Cook for 10 minutes the raisins, sugar and water. Add the shortening and let cool. Add the remaining ingredients. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 min.
