3½ cup | Cubed peeled Granny Smith apple |
2½ cup | Cubed peeled Bartlett pear |
2 tablespoons | Water |
2 tablespoons | Brown sugar |
1 tablespoon | Amaretto |
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan; cover and cook over low heat 40 minutes or until very tender. Mash to desired consistency; stir in sugar and amaretto. Yield: 4 servings (serving size: ¾ cup).
