| Measure | Ingredient |

| 3 cups | All-purpose flour |
| 1 cup | Nuts |
| 1 cup | Pear preserves |
| 4 | Eggs |
| 1 cup | Buttermilk mixed with |
| 1 teaspoon | Soda |
| 1 teaspoon | Cloves |
| 1 teaspoon | Allspice |
| 1 teaspoon | Nutmeg |
Mix all ingredients and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
