Peach praline cobbler

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
8 cups Peaches; sliced
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ cup Brown sugar
½ \N Stick butter; melted
1½ cup Chopped nuts
2 cups Self-rising flour
2 teaspoons Sugar
½ cup Shortening
¼ cup Buttermilk

Cook peaches, sugar, water, cornstarch and cinnamon in saucepan until thickened. Pour into a 3-quart dish. Stir in brown sugar and butter. Add pecans and stir to coat. In a bowl, stir flour and sugar. Cut in shortening. Make a well in center of mixture and add milk. Stir until dough clings together. Knead 10-12 times. Roll out to 12-by-8-inches and spread with pecan mixture. Roll up from long side. Cut into 12 circles and place on top of the peaches. Bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes.
