oregon gooseberry chutney

1 can (16.5 ounces) OregoN Gooseberries
½ cup Brown sugar
1 tablespoon Plus 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
⅛ teaspoon Salt
  Ground allspice
  Cinnamon
  Ground cloves

SPICES

Combine gooseberries, sugar, vinegar and salt in saucepan.

Simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

During last 10 minutes: ¼ of ¼ (don't overdo) of each of the spices to follow:

May be packed in sterile jars for storage or kept in the refrigerator.
