|4 cups||Sifted all-purpose flour|
|3 teaspoons||Baking powder|
|1⅓ cup||Coarsely chopped nuts|
|1 cup||Evaporated milk|
|2 tablespoons||Grated orange rind|
|¾ cup||Orange juice|
|3 tablespoons||Melted shortening|
|¾ cup||Unsulphured molasses|

Sif together flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, and salt. Add nuts.
Combine evaporated milk, orange rind, orange juice, shortening, and molasses. Add to flour mixture all at once. Stir just to blend. Turn into a greased and wax-paper lined 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake at 325 for one hour and 15 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
