1¼ cup | Boiling water |
½ cup | Margarine |
1 cup | Brown sugar |
1 cup | White sugar |

1½ cup | Flour |
1 teaspoon | Each baking soda and cinnamon |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
6 tablespoons | Margarine; melted |
¼ cup | Evaporated milk |
1 cup | Coconut |
1 cup | Chopped nuts |
½ cup | Brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
TOPPING
Mix oatmeat & boiling water, let stand 30 minutes. Cream margarine & sugars. Add 2 eggs & oatmeal mixture. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon & salt & add to creamed mixture. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 on long sheet cake pan. Mix topping ingredients & spread over cake when done; place under broiler until bubbly.
