Nut bread

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Brown sugar
¾ cup Cold water
½ cup Molasses
¾ cup Milk
2 cups Graham flour or whole wheat flour
½ cup Raisins
1 cup White flour
2½ teaspoon Baking powder
1½ teaspoon Salt
¾ teaspoon Baking soda
¾ cup Chopped nuts

Sift white flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking powder. Add graham or whole wheat flour. Combine sugar, water, molasses, and milk. Add dry ingredients, nuts, and raisins. Mix thoroughly. Pour into well-oiled baking pans. Bake in moderate oven (375ø F) 1 hour.
