|½ cup||Chopped Nuts|
|6 ounces||Chocolate chips|
First Prize, OK State Fair. Cook together butter, sugar, and water in heavy saucepan, until mixture turns caramel color: 300 F. Remove from heat and stir in half the nuts. Pour into a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with half the chocolate chips, let stand for a few mins until chips melt.
Spread over surface of toffee. Cover with waxed paper. Turn dish over onto surface and spread remaining chips, letting them melt, and then spread.
