¼ cup | Flour |
\N cup | Milk |
1 can | Chicken broth |
1 pack | (10oz.) vegetables (broccoli, California blend, etc.) |
½ teaspoon | Celery salt |
½ teaspoon | Pepper |
⅓ pounds | Cubed processed American cheese |
Precook vegetables according to package directions. Brown onion and margarine in 2 quart microwave bowl with cover. Cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes. Shake milk and flour together to make paste. Add to onion mixture.
Slowly add 1 can chicken broth. Add precooked vegetables to liquid mixture.
Add celery salt and pepper. Cook on high 1½ minutes, then on medium-low for 15 minutes (covered). Add ⅓ pound cubed cheese and stir. Cover tightly until cheese melts (or heat on low for 1 minute). Stir and serve.
