micro peanut brittle

1 cup Sugar
½ cup Light corn syrup
⅛ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Soda
1 cup Spanish peanuts (up to 1-1/2)
1 tablespoon Butter or margarine
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Combine first 3 ingredients in a 2 qt. casserole. Micro on hi for 5 minutes. Stir in nuts. Micro 2 to 5 minutes, stirring after 2 and 4 minutes, until lightly browned. Take out, and stir in butter soda and vanilla. It will get foamy. Spread on a buttered cookie sheet. Let cool and break into pieces.
