Maple syrup barbecue sauce sl

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Maple syrup
1 cup Ketchup
1 cup Onion; finely chopped
¼ cup Firmly packed brown sugar
¼ cup Apple cider vinegar
¼ cup Lemon juice
¼ cup Water
2 tablespoons Olive oil
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Garlic; finely chopped
2 teaspoons Lemon rind; grated
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Hot sauce
\N \N Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.

YIELD: 3½ CUPS

Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Cool. Pour mixture into container of a blender; process until smooth. Remove 1 cup sauce, and brush over [the article is about chicken] the last 30 minutes of cooking time. Serve chicken with remaining sauce.
