| Measure | Ingredient |

| 2 cups | Sugar |
| ¼ cup | White rum |
| 1 | Doz ripe mangos |
| 3 quarts | Water |
Wash mangos and peel them, rub through sieve. Add water and bring to quick boil. Simmer for about ½ hour. Allow to cool, then add rum and sweeten.
