Mama's blackberry jam

Yield: 2 pints

Measure Ingredient
2½ pounds Blackberries
1½ pounds Sugar

Wash berries thorughly, remoce caps and crush berries. Heat slowly to boiling, stirring constantly. Add sugar and continue cooking rapidly until mixture gives test for jelly. Pour into sterile jars and seal.

If seedless jam is desired rub cooked berries thru seive before adding sugar. Submitted By KATHRYN CONE On 07-03-95
